Ego. The Ego is afraid of being wrong, being rejected, and having to take responsibility for the choices made.
I haven’t figured it out yet. I’m working towards several goals that involves working in NYC six months out of the year and being location independent for the other six. I’ve scaled back my expenses dramatically, but I haven’t gotten to a dollar amount that I feel completely relaxed with.
I am more like my mother, even though she’d probably disagree with this. Fiercely independent, outspoken, the go-to girl.
I enjoy solitude, so I really can’t remember the last time I’ve felt lonely, but I work through isolation by making a phone call to a friend or getting out of the house and doing something social, even if it’s by myself.
Any 40/40/40 job: Work forty hours a week for forty years to retire for 40 percent of your income. No, thanks.
Accept the fact that you can only be yourself. When you realize that you can’t control other people’s opinions of you, and you live for yourself, it gets easier. Fuck the bullshit.
