A Gluten-Free Diet [Distorted] Reality Check

Nevermind the purported weight loss claims of going gluten-free, articles like these are why most people continue to be misinformed and confused when it comes to making better eating choices.

There are so many half truths here. If removing wheat from your diet puts you at risk for deficiencies of calcium, vitamin D, B vitamins, iron, magnesium, fiber, and zinc, then chances are you have low levels to begin with. And since WHEN does wheat contain Vitamin D?

Not eating wheat because of sensitivities, celiac, or just because, does not mean that one has also cut out the good stuff – leafy greans, brown rice, legumes, grass-fed dairy and pasture-raised animal products.

Shame on The Atlantic for such a poorly written article.
