Hi, I’m Melissa Danielle.

Welcome to Honeybee Holistic.

You can subscribe to this blog in a Reader or Email.

I am a native Brooklynite aspiring to become a reverse Weekender, simple living advocate, and farmsteader.

I am a full-time Blogger,  Health Coach and Kundalini Yoga Instructor.

In the space of food, farming, and wellness, I wear many hats as a facilitator, connector, communicator, instructor, and dreamer.

I get paid to do what I love (and I should, after several years of doing it for free) and things are falling into place.

But it wasn’t always this way.

I spent over a decade trying to realize an idea of the American Dream until a series of unfortunate experiences forced me to step back and re-evaluate my life and how I was (or wasn’t) living it. I was all over the place, jumping from job to job, miserable and living paycheck to paycheck (despite being paid well), because I didn’t believe that I could have what I wanted the way I said I wanted it.

And for good reason: I never saw any examples!

Today, after a lot of long, solitary (and broke) nights holed up in my room reading every inspiring, minimalist, location independent, and non-conforming blog I could find, I decided to get out of my head (and my fears) and actively work to create the life I said I wanted for myself.

This blog is about me working through and releasing all my stuff – mother stuff, relationship stuff, Stuff stuff, work stuff, life stuff. I get a little too personal, a little too crass, a little too real. But that’s who I am and if that’s not your thing, then it’s not your thing.

I am a Jill-of-All-Trades.

I used to worry about that, because I wasn’t sure that I had mastered anything.

But then I realized, in my quest to know a little bit about some things and a whole lot about other things, I was getting better at mastering myself.

So, I am a Jill-of-All-Trades and the Master of Me.

On this blog, I cover what I get paid for (locavore lifestyle, community food systems consulting, community food education, health coaching) and what I’m interested in (locavore lifestyle, community food, health coaching, minimalism, self-development, self-actualization, love, relationships, sex, yoga, food, wellness, travel…)

If you’re interested in doing more to manifest a life on your terms, you can join me by doing one or more of the following:

You can also connect with me on Twitter and on Facebook.

I look forward to sharing and building with you.

Cheers,
Melissa
